I have a 529 and UPromise. UPromise is great because a lot of stores particpate--e.g everytime i shop online at Gap.com, oldnavy.com etc....a certain percentage goes into his 529....u cant go wrong

I thought it sounded great! I signed up so now I have to link the 529. 
I do have one more question though-the Urpromise Citi World Mastercard-does that get you even greater savings? I would rather not sign up for another CC right now.

Yes I've belonged to it for years-I used to do it for my nephews but now I switched it to DD and started a 529 for her and linked them.

As long as there is a visa or mastercard logo, you can link anything! Even those little swipey things you use at Stop & Shop and CVS.

Yes....I actually signed up for UPromise using my own SS# as the beneficiary, and when DD was born I switched it to her. I opened her 529 account the first week that she was home and have money automatically put in once per month. Mom's that keep saying "we're opening a 529 soon..." it's super easy and takes only a few minutes out of your busy day....don't put it off!

Yes we've had it since before DS1 was born and have saved more than $1200 with it, which I know isn't a ton of money but it was fairly effortless to do it!

we have the card it works with everything on the card not just the upromise items.. as long as you pay the bill you get a percetange of that portion.
