Does anyone just not participate in Super Bowl?
I could care less. I would buy into a football pool though, but that is just because I like to gamble lol. My DH is not a football fan though so he has no desire to watch the game.

I am not a football fan but it's DH's bday so we usually just have a few people over on that day and have cake and food. I hate when there are no good commercials and the halftime show sucks

DH is a football fan, but he can't stand either team so he is not into it this year. With that being said, we are having a few friends over.

I like football. I think the games are exciting.
I usually would root for the Pats if the Giants aren't playing (just because I have a ton of friends from NE so I feel like if I can't beat them join them) but now with this second cheating scandal, I have no respect for that. The Seahawks are just a bunch of loud mouthed Neanderthals and I can't stand them either.
I'll watch because I like football, love Katy Perry and eating loaded baked potato dip in excess.

Does anyone just not participate in Super Bowl?
HATE football. Despise it! No one usually invites us to superbowl because we have 3 kids. But this year we are going to a friends house. Normally I'd say no and have DH go by himself but the other wives don't like football either so while the boys are watching the women will drink wine and enjoy the food while the kids all hang out in the playroom.

I stopped watching when Sick Vick was reinstated. I actually stopped watching organized sports altogether in disgust. What value does it add to my life? nothing. Rather read a good book.

Oh yeah superbowl...that's a fun night for me...Every year we go to a party and Dh tries to watch the game as we chase around 3 kids who are cranky because the game pretty much starts at their bed time. Fun times!
This year DH said "can we just stay home?"

Once we had kids, we pretty much stopped going to Super Bowl parties...we have a quiet night at home...I make a fun dinner (more for the kids) and my DH watches the game while we go about our normal Sunday night routines...I hate going out on Sunday nights because I feel like it starts my week off wrong.

We don't. My DH doesn't watch football, neither of us have any interest in the Super Bowl. One of our friends is a sports nut, constantly has some game blasting on the tv at his house.
He has people over for Super Bowl. We don't go. Lol
I don't need another reason to eat crap. DH and I both lost a lot of weight last year, I'd rather not eat junk.
Call me lame.

Good point. I feel like our society has priorities screwed up. The money that we spend to pay athletes salaries, the high cost of seats to a game and just to buy a shirt with their logo!! And then throw in stories like sick Vick.....

We usually host. ... now my kids fall asleep at a certain time and go up to bed ...
We have a couple of guys who come without their wives.
You can always just make or buy hubby something to bring

I like the commercials! The fact that my DH is off this year means I won't have to watch alone 
So I usually out the Puppy Bowl on for the girls , then switch & Make fun snacks foods

DH doesn't really care about football at all - and I hate it. We'll sometimes put it on for a bit here and there just to see the commercials maybe - but most years we end up watching a movie. One year we watched The Notebook. How much more opposite can you get!?
