Super Bowl Party with kids coming over. Stupid Question

So, this will be our first super bowl party we're having with kids over. Last year Mason was only 8 months old and I was sick.

Anyway, since we moved to NJ we have lots of friends with toddlers and kids in the area

Situation is this... timing the food since I have a feeling the majority are going to leave around 1/2 time
It's just a guess, but it's all young kids between 1 and 4. I know the guys will be in the den or by the bar. We'll be in the play area that will have the game on or all over. I'm lucky I will put Mason to sleep around 7:30ish.
Yes, there will be plenty of food and beer.
We plan on having subs, wraps, salads, etc for the main dish. Usually we serve the main dish at 1/2 time, but would you serve it earier. 2nd quarter? Chat Icon

I know... stupid question

I would put it out in the 2nd quarter. Since it's not hot food it's not like you have to worry about it getting cold if people do hold off until halftime, but it's out for those who are hungry and going to be heading home early.

good point... only hot stuff we're serving is some horderves, but that's coming out right away like some dips or the mini-dogs.
We can leave it out so if pple do stay after half then the food will still be fine.

when we have super bowl parties i usually always put out the main food at the start of half time.. basically have it ready by then.
most people even with little kids don't want to leave for the game early. its a HUGE game..lol

but there is nothing wrong with serving at the 2nd quarter

I know, I wasn't sure. At least I can put Mason to sleep. I'm just not sure if they'll stay or not since they're young and I have some friends who are very anal with bedtimes and naps.

of course! We'll probably put that out at half or the end of the 2nd b/c I'm sure the kids will want that. My friends are bringing that... probably munchkins, cookies, etc. Trying to do it low key and everyone is bringing something since it used to get out of hand and cost a fortune. We'll do some apps and some desserts, the main dish and beer. Of course we all know most guys BTO for their "special" beer. LOL
Figured to save room I can keep that outside the sliding glass door in the kitchen Chat Icon Plenty of snow I can pack the cooler with LOL
