start cleaning up and getting ready before time is up
Me: I start getting ready to go home about 15 minutes before.

Normally I work until 5.00 - it takes me ten seconds to shut down and get my stuff.

In my job, we are given 15 minutes "wash up" time. I'm usually the one running for the door during the wash up time. I'd prefer just to get home, shower and change. Some guys wash up and change their clothes. Before the wash up time, I have packed my tools away, locked everything up and am waiting for the go ahead to leave.

Yesterday I worked until 4:59:59 when my internal clock said time to go home. The day before I was ready to go 15 minutes early.

My hours are 9:30 to 6. I work until 6, and sometimes after.

I am a teacher so most days I do not head out the door until way after my scheduled time.

My official end of day is 5:15 - I left today at about 5:40 and that's more typical than not. Even when I'm leaving "on time" it's usually 5:20 or 5:25.

I work until the last second, throw my laptop in a bag & head for my train with my laptop still on (less than 2 minutes) so I can continue working on the train.

It depends on the day. I get in early for court, so if I have something to do non work related one day, I can leave early and sometimes I will work late.

I take about ten minutes to put everything away, put my coat on, shut down the computer etc. I am usually at the sign out sheet the MINUTE I can sign out.

I work up until the last second. It's been so busy at work we don't have time to breathe....before though I used to unwind before it was time to go. Ahhhh the good ole days

I work 10 hours a day, I don't have the luxury of taking any time to pack up. I'm always throwing my stuff together so I can make the train.

Before this job, "I would have said, I leave when my work is finished", but the powers that be at this job are "clock watchers" and not only are they sticklers for everyone getting in on time, they don't like anyone staying late so literally there is like a mass exodus at 5pm here.
When I first started I couldn't believe my eyes!!
