Do you take Used Items???
If someone is getting rid of something they dont want would you take it???
Personally i would and I do. My friend was getting new bedroom furniture and gave me a tall dresser and 2 end tables (that match) she has given me her razor cell phone when she upgraded,stroller 2 1yr old air conditioners Another friend gave me a changing table
I like these items just as much if not more than if I bought them brand new.
The other day I was talking to DDs friends mom and she made a comment that she doesnt do "USED" only BRAND NEW including cars
how do you girls feel ??

It depends on who is giving it to me. There are some people who I know will always rub it in that they had the stuff new, but I took their used stuff. There are some who would be just as happy if I had something for them and won't frown upon me for taking what they offer.

it has saved us lots of money.
we didnt have any furniture when we moved to our new apt after we got married and my cousin was redoing her dining room and gave us her dinette set.

Yes, yes and yes. I grew up on the pretty freakin poor side so a lot of my clothing as a kid was from the thrift store. As long as whatever it is is clean, not broken and has a lot of potential, then I'll take it!

We have a lot of used furniture, and almost all of DS's outdoor toys and slides, etc are used. Pretty much anything that doesn't have skin contact and/or can be washed thoroughly is OK in my book (no mattresses, for example...)

Don't mind doing it & have done it in the past. We took my DH's aunt's old dining room table to get us through from the time we bought our house until we could get something new. After almost 2 years, we are getting our new set the first week of May. The "used" one came in handy many times.
I will admit my dad is the King of "Curbside" shopping. You would be amazed at what people throw out in their garbage. When we purchased our home, my dad found us a lawnmower (needed a new spark plug), leave blower (need hose replaced, $5), some outside patio chairs (needed to be washed), hose reel (needed nothing) & much more!!!

definitely- Im a craigslist junkie for furniture and toys for my son. I wish I would have known about the used the site sooner for baby equipment and furniture- i could have saved a boatload!!

Yes if they are in good condition. That is how I furnished my entire guest bedroom! My aunt's friends were getting divorced and selling their house and furniture...perfect condition. I'll take it!
