There's a little symbol at the bottom of every post, right next to the date/time stamp. It's an exclamation point inside a red traingle. Just click on that and it will bring you to a screen to report a thread. You can select if it's on the wrong board, profanity, advertising, etc.

I only report the ones that are advertising. For a while on Parenting there was someone posting under a new name every morning with links to "free" junk.
I've reported these too- they annoy the crap out of me! Otherwise, I don't bother.

No. LIF moderates these boards. If they want to move or delete posts, fine by me. But I kind of feel like I'm "tattling" if I do. I go to these boards to see what people have to say. If I don't like it or I have nothing to respond with, I go on to the next one.

I haven't yet, but it does make sense for topics that are in the wrong section. I know "if you don't want to read it, don't click on it", but legitimate posts that *are* in the proper category get pushed way down, and aren't read, because there are tons of posts that should be in other categories.
I think having things in the proper section makes for a better browsing experience for everyone. Plus, it helps Ron and crew keep this site free.
