Re: Do you love your house?
YES!
I'd consider it a colonial, it was a ranch originally with a full 2nd story added. Bedrooms downstairs changed into living space (LR/DR, office). Bedrooms all upstairs now.

Re: Do you love your house?
Yes, I do. We have a 2 story transitional-kind of like a colonial but a bit more open.
There are things that I want to change but overall I love our home and think of it as a forever home

Same here...our house was a ranch but we expanded out and up and now I'd consider it a colonial (all bedrooms are upstairs). Colonials are my favorite! Downstairs is a complete open layout with no walls for separation except 1 wall in the center because that's the stairs leading to the 2nd floor and basement.

Yes, we really do. We were standing in our garden last night admiring it.
We have an old colonial with a wrap-around porch.

Re: Do you love your house?
Well we have a co-op right now but I have to say - I do love it...for now! I think it's a great first home and we're in an area that I would love to buy a house in later on down the road.

Re: Do you love your house?
I have a traditional cape. It is fantastic for right now. Once we have a kid or two we will either have to blow it out or move. If we blow it out that way we envision...that I def think I will LOVE it. I know no matter what we do or dont do to it, it prob won't be our forever home.

Re: Do you love your house?
Love? No, it's difficult for me to be that way about houses. I love the life my DH and I have in this house and I love that it will be paid off in 13 years.
That being said, I like my house, it's a cape with a huge extension on it.

Re: Do you love your house?
yes
It was love at first sight.
It's a young victorian.
Has a porch & sizeable deck off of the kitchen.
Yes, some cosmetic things need to be changed and updates to be taken place, but I love it.

Re: Do you love your house?
Love it? No. My dream home would be a million dollar mansion.
Am I happy we chose this house? Yes.
Are there things that could make it better? Sure.
As we speak, we are adding an extension to add more bedrooms.
I would like a bigger kitchen and that's the one thing I probably can't fix about the house.
ETA: I have a expanded Levitt cape.

Re: Do you love your house?
No. But we are not in our "forever home". I do love what we've done to it as far as decorating the inside. But the size, location, neighborhood, layout......no.

Yes! It's a Colonial and we put a lot of work into it. It's so much more than we ever thought we'd own here on LI.

Re: Do you love your house?
Yes, it's a center hall colonial that we designed. My heart and soul went into all the planning, and building of my home.

Re: Do you love your house?
yes, I love my house.
but we're selling and moving on to bigger and better things...and I'm excited about that, but
I still haven't quite come to terms with the fact that once we leave here, we wont be coming back
(our current home is a center hall colonial, and our next one will likely be that as well)

Re: Do you love your house?
I love what we've done to the house, the location, and all the wonderful moments we've had in our house, but I don't love the layout and the size. We've outgrown it. We're looking for a bigger home and hopefully we'll find something that I will really love and be our forever home.
ETA - We have a split and ideally I would like a center hall colonial.

My sentiments exactly. We're going to turn it into a colonial with an open floor plan on first floor.

Yes. But I'm partial, just closed this week and haven't even moved in yet! We bought a colonial.
