we fish in our lake, its fresh water & all fresh water on LI is catch & release by law. I want our lake to stay full of healthy fish so I'd never keep them.
If we went on a charter fishing boat(which I haven't done in years) and I caught fluke I'd keep it & cook it.

If we are on a charter and meets the size requirement we keep. All other situations we throw back.

If it meets the regulation size and is something we will eat, then yes we keep them.
If they are small or something we would not eat we throw them right back.

My dad has had a boat since I was little so i've been fishing most of my life. I LOVE IT!
If the fish meets the size requirement we'll keep it, if not we throw it back.
We usually go fluke fishing.

I never caught anything but yes, I go fishing with DH-Dh and FIL and BIL have caught fish and if they meet the requirements we have it for dinner! We have gone on charter boats too- it's fun!
