Do you ever sit down?
I have an almost 2 month old and a 2 year old and I swear to g-d I never sit down. My husband is a huge help but between the house, the kids etc I feel like we just have something to do every second of the day. I go back to work in 1 month and I have no idea how we will manage. It takes 3 hours to get out the door!!! Please tell me I am not alone.

I think I need to accept for the time being that is what I need to do. All I do us repeat the same tasks over and over!!!

Do you ever sit down?
My DS (2 years old) is a pretty neat kid so he always helps me clean up. DH and I have very organized nightly routines to make sure everything gets done before my DS goes to bed. I usually sit down from 7:45-9 at night. If I need downtime over the weekend, I let DS watch an episode of Daniel Tiger.

Yes I do every 2-3 hrs when 7 week old needs to eat. Lmao. That's what it feels like. All I do is feed, burp, change diaper, repeat and also take care 3 yr old and 6 yr old now that schools out. My house is a disaster.

Do you ever sit down?
I have a very active 14 month DD -- I never sit down. Even when she takes her mid-day nap, I use that time to get laundry going, clean the bathroom, change the sheets, meal prep, etc.

I have a 3 yr old, 4 yr old and 4 week old. I NEVER sit. Dh also leaves for work at 2 pm, so it all falls on me, especially when he has stuff to do in the am. I am also getting over complications from my csection including sepsis, so I'm so shot.

Re: Do you ever sit down?
I NEVER sit down. Some days I'm sitting for the first time after dinner. I'm constantly running around taking care of my two plus doing laundry, running errands, cleaning, cooking, taking them to activities, etc. It's NONSTOP all day long!!

Re: Do you ever sit down?
On work days it is after 8:00 when I am done with all I need to do. By that time I am ready for bed. If I do sit down, then I don't want to get back up!
ETA: I can't count dinner as sitting down, because I am up and down a million times getting things for people

I rarely get a chance to sit and relax--if I sit it is to eat a meal or engage dd in an activity.

Do you ever sit down?
nope!! and i only have one DS, who is 5.5!! He doesn't' start K until the fall, so i still SAH with him. he has no siblings or cousins to distract him, and most of our friend's kids are in daycare full time--- so its all on me to keep him busy all day! AND since i SAH, i end up doing pretty much all of the house stuff, too. so between him needing constant entertainment and all the house stuff i have to do... its never any just sitting and relaxing! although... i will say, DS spends 2-3 hours a day on his iPad :-/ its the only thing that gets him to leave me alone so i can get other stuff done.... it is what it is!

Do you ever sit down?
Only when I'm nursing my 2 month old, and sometimes I'm even standing/walking around trying to get things done and take care of my 3 yo while I'm nursing the baby. All day long is a constant cycle of trying to clean up just enough to keep things sanitary (like wiping the sinks, doing laundry and dishes), and preparing foods. All while caring for a fussy baby and a demanding 3 yo. And the most frustrating thing about is that even though I never stop to take a break all day, the house still is a mess, we barely eat anything actually nutritious, and I barely get to spend any quality time with my 3 yo.

Lolol no no! It is all totally worth it, just very tiring when you feel like everything needs 100% attention all the time when clearly that just isn't reasonable.

I never sit down at home. It's either standing, running, kneeling, crawling or sleeping.

Not until now, 945pm when my two DS are in bed! I'm about to go meal prep for the next few days, though, so it's definitely short lived!

Exactly. Which is why I'm severely sleep deprived. I don't know how people manage to do it all & still get a decent amount of sleep. Like I'm sitting here right now relaxing since my kids went to sleep about an hour ago & I just need a little bit of me time to do what I want... then I have to start my housework/chores around 11.... hopefully get to bed by 12:30, only to be awoken for the day by the kids who are way too energetic at 5am. There are just not enough hours in the day.

No!! Having only 1 is why I'm so exhausted!!!!! He has no other kids to distract him! Not even just playing... But even another kid to argue with would help distract him from bugging me to play wth him!!! It's CONSTANT! I would LOVE to be able to tell him "go play with your brother if you're bored!" LOL

YES. I don't even check my email until like 9:00 most nights. I think if I had a maid and some help my life would be a lot easier. Instead I just take everything on myself. AHH. I just want to sleep!
