Do you do anything weekly w/o your DH/SO?

My husband and I bowl together once a week. He is into sports and in Sept. wants to play softball once a week.

I hate that he always has something to do (football, baseball, softball).

I would like to get involved with "something" so I can get out of the house 1 night a week and he can "handle" the kids?

So does anyone do anything? if so what do you do?

I've always wanted to try pottery. With the wheel and stuff. I don't know anything about it, but have always liked watching it done.

Without DH & the kids......Chat Icon

How about a craft? Scrapbooking or cake decorating at AC Moore or Michaels? They always have different classes each week!

I used to play in an all-womens volleyball league.

I have a friend who takes a painting class at the local high school with her SIL and neighbor.

ETA: You should look into what "adult education" classes your local district offers. They usually have some fun classes like yoga, cooking, painting, etc.

Go to the district office, they should have some information. At the very least they should be able to tell you when the information will be out. I know in my district we get a program book in the mail. Also, check the school district's website.

I was going to suggest a book club or a class like a scrapbooking, jewelry making or something like that.

Re: Do you do anything weekly w/o your DH/SO?

Wednesday is my weekly "pampering" I got for a mani/pedi.

Every 6-7 weeks I go for my hair to be done.

I use to spend a lot of time with my mom but she moved this morning Chat Icon

DH currently bowls with his brother & dad on Monday nights.

We don't have kids though, I am sure things will change then

Re: Do you do anything weekly w/o your DH/SO?

There is a summer volleyball league in Long Beach that is a ton of fun... great way to make new friends too.....
also, starting Sept. some schools offer adult programs for a small fee.... They have indoor volleyball, tennis, karate, stuff like that.....

Re: Do you do anything weekly w/o your DH/SO?

Before we got married, we used to bowl together on a league every Fri night. Sunday mornings we would head over to the diner for breakfast. Now we are married... it all changed.Chat Icon Not that its bad that we dont do it anymore, I just miss it. We are probably going to join the league again this year.
