Woo-Hoo!!! Made all of my dining reservations this morning!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Oddly, the only one I had trouble getting a time I wanted was T-Rex in Disney Springs. I took 3:30 but I'll keep looking for a later time in the coming months.

I could've easily done Cinderella's Royal Table (which I was strongly considering) however, after looking at the menu and the cost I think it will be a waste (my kids are SO picky) so I opted to not do it.

I booked:

T-Rex (dinner)
Be Our Guest (lunch)
Sci-Fi Diner (lunch)
Garden Grill (lunch)
Liberty Tavern (dinner)
Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
Crystal Palace (breakfast)

Next up...................FP reservations in a few months and waiting for Disney to release their May deals!! I also checked Southwest site and they released their May fares. SCORE!!!....................we have enough Rapid Rewards Points to get ALL FOUR of our round trip tickets for FREE!!!! I'm psyched to NOT have to pay for airfare!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

LOVE all of this Disney planning!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

great job on your ADRs! I can't wait to hear your reviews when you come back!!!

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I've done them all at some point except for Garden Grill and Liberty Tavern.

LOVE the Crystal Palace breakfast, I HIGHLY recommend that one. BOG is just awesome. And T-Rex and Sci Fi are lots of fun for the kids!! I look forward to trying out the other two!

When do you do your ADR's?

March...seems so far away!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Just got my airfare from Southwest, the rates were pretty cheap right now for May. They didn't have my return trip so I only booked one way. Nonstop flight for $150/ea. However, I opened a Southwest card a few months back and got a ton of points in addition to the points I earned from our last flight on SW sooooooooooooooooooo...........................I used my points and got all of FOUR of my airfares there for FREE!!! I also have enough points left to get our return trips for FREE also!! Woo Hoo!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Disney 2017

here is my rough itinerary for this summer- kids will be just 7 & 4.5

Days 1-3: LEGOLAND

Day 3: WDW early evening check in, then dinner at t-rex.

Day 4: use hopper: AK wth rainforest café res for breakfast then arrive at Epcot around 3-4pm. Wing dinner at epcot.

Day 5: DS's bday so MK All day- thinking of making breakfast reservations for crystal palace. Wing the rest of any meals.

Day 6: Breakfast at hotel: use hopper: Not decided where to spend this morning- maybe back at MK (would love a pool morning though, will have to ask dh), then arrive at Hollywood Studio around 1pm & do the Fantasmic dinner package at mama Melrose.

Day 7: checkout

Thoughts? I know it will be exhausting because we are cramming so much in.

you don't really need 3 days at Legoland. I too my 4 year old there in May and we did every ride in one day and were never rushed. We got there at open and left about 1.5 before close.

IT's actually more like a day and a half in LL. Day 1..check in at LL hotel & do pool. All of day 2 & half of day 3 in LL and waterpark. My kids are obsessed with legos so I don't think they'll be bored. Plus we're prob not going to do LL again. That's why we are spending a bunch of days there.

Re: Disney 2017

Personal preference, but something you may want to think about- I prefer to do breakfast at the hotel. The first 2 hours of park time are so valuable that I hate to waste them having breakfast, plus breakfasts are so expensive. I like to reserve lunches so that you can take a nice break when the park starts to get crowded.

this sounds so fun!!! I would try to do the breakfasts pre-park opening ( They let you make breakfast reservations for say 8 AM when the park doesn't open until 9...) that way you're getting breakfast in the park AND you're already in the park when they open so you can stay ahead of the crowds a little bit. Tusker House is another good breakfast option at Animal kingdom with mickey, goofy, pluto, daisy...
and definitely plan in at least a half day for just hanging by the pool or bumming around the resort or whatever.

It doesn't get that hot in California. It should be comfortable 80's. We hit 100 almost daily here in VA in July so it should be refreshing for us.

We are planning to do San Diego/LA/Disneyland.

I'd love to hear about your itinerary, where you are staying, etc. We want to do Cali and go to Disneyland then on to other things but I have no clue where to go, what's close, anything about the area!

Pirates and Pals cruise is awesome!! worth every penny. You start with a desert party at the Contemporary and Cap Hook and Smee are there, take pic's with them. You then split up into 2 groups and make your way to the boats....my Son got picked to hold the pirate flag and lead everyone was amazing! Our boat director was hysterical!! They play Disney trivia, give out prizes and then you watch wishes from the water, perfect view. Surprise when you get back to the dock is waiting also. Do it!

I ordered Mickey colored balloons and a big Mickey head balloon from Party City that I am picking up on Xmas Eve. I wrapped a big box in Disney Xmas paper and I'm going to fill it with the balloons so when they open it all of the balloons will float up and out. Inside the box will be a Disney Countdown Calendar and the Disney Vacation DVD and a note attached to one of the balloons that says, "Emme and Gray.......SURPRISE!!........You're going to Disney in May!!!" Chat Icon Chat Icon

I cannot wait!!!!!!!!! It will be the last gift they open after all of their Santa gifts. I'm dropping subtle hints along the way too. Their chocolate advent calendar is a Disney Xmas themed one, they are wearing matching Mickey and Minnie Xmas pjs on Xmas morning, "Santa" is giving each of them a small, rolling Minnie and Mickey luggage to take on the trip plus an autograph book and in their stocking is a Mickey and Minnie lanyard for their pins. Then last but not least.............THE TRIP!!!!!!!!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm keeping the hotel a secret until we arrive. I want them to be totally surprised when we get to POR and see the Royal Room!! Chat Icon

Hofstra- that sounds so awesome! Is it their first trip? They are going to be so excited. Hope you videotape the big reveal.

Today was my first day making Fastpasses (we're offsite so I can only do one day at a time). Got everything I wanted easily. Five more days of this. Hoping I remember on Christmas morning!

We went about 10 years ago and I can't remember the exact itinerary, but we went to downtown LA, (saw the sidewalk with the stars, Graumann's theater, Hollywood sign etc), the Getty Museum, and Joshua Tree National Park. That was in addition to two days in Disneyland.
