Direction help

can anyone give us the EASIEST route to get to Yonkers from South shore ( Lindenhurst area).

We have gotten 4 different routes from friends, map quest , yahoo maps. WHICH ONE do we take?

cross island parkway north
to the throgs neck bridge
to 695 north/95 north
to Hutchinson River parkway north
to cross county parkway west
which then takes you to the yonkers area....
depending on your specific destination, you may need to take the saw mill pkway

eta: i take the cross island to the throgs neck to the hutch, whenever i go to fishkill (the ride isn't that bad)...
you'll just have to head west on the cross county...

Im so confused.

They told us to take Cross Island to Triborough to major deegan to NYS thruway.

Im NEVER GONNA FIND IT

well i think you can do either, but you said EASIEST. and IMO, the triborough to the major deegan is just MURDER traffic, compared to the route i gave you. then again, i think ANY roadway tomorrow will be MURDER! Good luck!

I do think yours is the easiest. It seems to be similiar to mapquest, expedia etc...so I am following yours..tHANKS AGAIN!!!!!! !!

thanks! Hope it all works out...Usually doesnt with us, so with our luck we will get stuck there overnight and come home with a bird.

try to get a messanger bird if they have.....

thanks...and thanks for the edit too cause I didnt know there was a coolness factor with birds and we might have come home with some silly arse parrot or something.

i do smell much better than a miniature donkey (on most days) too! Now, There's a reason to celebrate

i don't really know directions but can add that i used to take the hutchinson pkway to go to college and it saved me a lot of time.
