OMG...has anyone else had this? steer me in the right direction...
This girl on facebook keeps begging me to accept her. when I hit ignore she sends another one and another one. She totally doesnt look familiar and keeps sending me messages like "paulette I really want to catch up your baby is adorable"...etc...OVER AND OVER AND OVER....
I wrote back without accepting that I dont know you. SHe then wrote but I really want to catch up. Then said my last name was SOOOO familiar to her. ANyone know where this is coming from? I mean if I friended someone and I was "normal" I would stop after they ignored me the first time. WHy keep going and going...?
I dont want people I am not friends with going through all my info and dd's pics. Am I being rational? WOuld you accept and see whats up? What do ya think?

I would not accept her. I would ask again where she knew you from and if you don't get a rational answer, I would just block her all together. I'm not certain how blocking works, but I don't think she would know that she was blocked and you wouldn't have to see her emails or requests anymore.

My husband had this happen...it ended up being a real estate agent..we went to an open house of hers once....she was really pushy, but finally got the hint.

Nope! I ignored FIL two times!!!  1. I do not even Facebook really and 2. I don't need to be your FB friend!
You can set your profile so that people MUST be friends with you to see your profile/pics. And you can go into privacy settings and permanantly block someone so they cannot find you if they searched. I've done that on a few... people I've even known! Why would I want to be FB friends with you if we weren't friends in school?!
She sounds like a wierd scammer and I'd ignore her permanantly. If she's someone you'd know, you'd at least have friends in common.

shes telling me that she went to my HS and that we know one another from there. can someone that isnt currently on my buddy list jump on and make sure my name is private? Please...
She was able to name my HS so I am kinda wondering if she knew that from readin it on FB. Also her name is not common so I would totally recognize it if I knew her.

We have NO mutual friends and she says we went to the same highschool. I went to school with over 1000 people. You would think at least 1 person would match up.

BUT

You would think she would be able to tell you a class you were in together or a mutual friend - being she can't, I would block her.

If you came up on people you would know it would say how there was a connection. Do you have mutual friends?? Every time you send her a message it gives her access to more parts to your profile. If you don't want her to contact you, block her! Honestly it probably is the best block I have seen on a site. I love it and use it
