We usually go to the Shalimar too. I kid to my husband "go where the old people eat"
I love the host there, I was having a contraction as I walked in and he made sure I was ok, at the beginning and the end of our meals.
I just wish they would redecorate.

It used to be South Bay Diner in Lindenhurst, but I'm not so crazy about them anymore. I also like the Peter Pan Diner in Bay Shore and the Lindenhurst Diner.

OMG...I used to teach at PS 139...right down the block.
All the teachers and I used to go to lunch at the Shalimar every Friday. Great place.

i liked that south bay diner give pancakes and homefries with their omelets.

Haha it is an old person diner, but it's delicious! The host is such a nice guy. He knows my ILs really well since they are in there every weekend without fail. Whenever I bring my cousins in there to eat, like this past weekend, he gives them those big choc. chip cookies for free.
