I don't really like going to the diners. I find them to be overpriced. But when I get to choose which to go to, I choose Long Beach diner. I like their fries the best.
ETA: i dunno if this counts as a diner, but Hildebrants in Williston park is delicious. They are not a typical LI diner though. but the food is home cooking style and really good!

Growing up I loved Fresh Pond Diner...they made the best disco fries, no longer there put a bank...then on Cross Bay I used to go to a diner (forgot the name) no longer there, put something else there.....

what street is it on?
I grew up going to this diner. It's definitely one of my favs! It's on Merrick Road in Valley Stream just west of Corona Avenue.
I also really like the Massapequa Diner on Sunrise Hwy just east od Broadway. Snce DH and I moved to Massapequa, that's our go-to diner. We order from them about once a week

Imperial Diner in Freeport on Merrick Rd. Their menu isn't as huge as a typical diner and they offer different things than at a typical diners. Their pancakes are the best I ever had!!

Random! Personally, I HATE Pop diner. I don't like the food. The breakfast is okay, but I much prefer Georgia diner or Shalimar.

My favorite in Queens is the Georgia - they just make overall good food.
Now that I am in LI, I love the Colony Diner in East Meadow. Their salads are delicious & different and their breakfasts are great too.
