Re: D!ck's Sporting Goods
I said I was "trying to figure out" if it was discriminatory.
There is no constitutional right to booze or to gamble. But there is a right to bear arms. So that is why I think it may be different. I also think it is different because NOBODY under 21 can (legally) drink or gamble, however, 18 year olds in the military obviously are given guns.
Again, I don't care about raising the age, it's not like I would protest it or anything but I think someone will probably raise the issue.
Also - I don't think people who buy OR sell guns are "pro dead kids" any more than people who like alcohol are "pro drunk driving."

But, in 45 states, it's 100% legal for kids under 21 to legally drink... with restrictions.

Usually, with parental approval, not in an establishment that sells alcohol.

I was referring to sellers picking up where D!ck's is dropping off. I thought you were too. Sale of these weapons spike after every mass shooting. Believe me, they're pro dead kids. It may sound harsh, but it's reality. Death translates to money for them.

Why are these businesses being applauded now for making change to their policy? They don't have to sell guns. There is no mandate that says they must do it. So why now? Why does ****'s suddenly think selling these guns is bad? Is it because the shooter bought a different gun in their store? Constitutional right aside, no one HAS to sell things. No one HAS to manufacture them. These businesses make choices. The chose to sell guns when they started their business. And they chose to continue selling them after Columbine, after Sandy Hook. And yes after Sandy Hook ****'s stopped selling assault style rifles in their ****'s stores but continued to sell them in other affiliates. So they should be applauded for what was not even a half measure. Why is now the time to stop? Tell the businesses to just stop selling them altogether.
