You just pull in, say what you would like. They get it and give you the cost, example; 3 dollars, and i usually tell them how much i am giving them, 'out of a 5' so they don't have to go out to grab my money and then back to get my change, they just bring item and change.

That place is my savior when I just need milk or something and dont want to lug 3 kids in

A lot of the ones were sold. The one near where we used to live was sold and I was so upset. I love their iced tea and they don't carry it anymore if they are not a "true" dairy barn.
Ah, I see. I did notice some say "Dairy Barn" and some are called "The Barn". Wasn't sure if they were all Dairy Barns. Guess not. But there are a bunch of actual Dairy Barns in Western Suffolk area.
Dairy Barn is eventually going to phase out. DH works for The Barn...they're slowly buying up all the stores on the island

Agreed! Great iced tea, good coffee in the am. They also have one of my favorite desserts ever! PIZZA CRUMB! OMG comes frozen in a little pizza box and is basically just the crumbs of a crumb cake on some flaky pastry. It's my go-to dessert when going to a friend's house!

Irs great!! I use it for milk and eggs mostly if I need in a pinch and DD is sleeping. I even buy a cup of coffee there too sometimes.

We are there all the time...mostly milk - their milk is actually from a local distributer, and while not organic, no hormones - and 1% is always on a pretty good sale (which we use)
we definitely run in for things we are out of - eggs, HnH, butter, chips etc Some weekly deals are good...most things are top pricee.
Pizza crumb is worth the DB visit, but you will get much better ones at the actual bakery -Hummel Hummel in E Northport.
on a hot day - half iced tea - half lemonade filled with ice is heaven!!

There coffee is great and I don't even usually drink plain coffee (usually flavored). Iced Tea is AWESOME. But I'm usually running there for mlk.

No menu, you basically see everything inside when you drive up. They do have their sales for the week up as you drive in. They have all the basics.

Totally conveinent with two kids in tow. Usually stop for milk or bread. Sometimes I stop in the morning and get a big cup of iced tea or lemonade.

OMG right after I had the boys, I went to Dairy Barn EVERY DAY! Best thing ever. Prices are very reasonable. Great place to stop to pick up a quick item or two.

I went today.....had to get DD milk, so I asked for that pizza crumb cake....they didnt have it
So which ones do? I went to the one in East Rockaway on Atlantic Ave.

I agree they changed a lot recently..the ones that r left anyway. Now hey sell breakfast n hot dogs  ..never ate there food items like that. But I go for milk ice cream quick.....used to loveee the db ice tea ....now they have some ne name brand u can get cheaper at guintas me farms .

I worked at one in HS...it was the best job...everyone you knew stopped in at least once a day it was a great way to get paid and see your friends!
I never drank so much iced-t as I did when I worked there.
