crashing ... shower timing
HI ladies, quick question! I am planning a baby shower for my sister. What week in your pregnancy are most of you having your baby shower? What is normal?

I am due Oct 4 and I think that it will be sometime in August, not sure yet, nothing has been planned just yet, but I think that is when my mom was thinking of doing it.

I'm due August 3rd and mine is May 31st. The time of year played a big role in deciding when to have it since my family has a few graduations and weddings going on in June. I will be 32 weeks.

a good rule to follow is to leave enough time for the new mom and dad to get the items that they DID NOT receive at the shower themselves.
make sure they have time to save up a little cashola to get the bigger items that they'll need, etc.
mine is april 25th - i'll be 33 weeks...

I will be 32 weeks at mine. I think this is perfect timing because I will have lots of time after it to set up the nursery, make returns and purchase things I still need to get.

I'm having mine 5 weeks before my due date. We wanted to have it 6-7 weeks before, but this date worked best. That way we have about a month to put stuff together, buy other last minute things etc

which wold have beem ideal...had DD not decided to come the next day.

crashing here myself hi karin! i had DS on 9/5. my shower was on 7/20 which was perfect timing since i was big but not too big and i wasn't uncomfortable at all four the shower
