Confused by EWCM

So I just noticed some EWCM even though I'm only on CD12! I normally don't even start OPKs until around CD15 since most of my cycles are over 40 days. The earliest I ever have gotten a smiley is C18.

I'll be sure to tonight and take a test in the morning. If it's negative I'm going to be so annoyed. I don't want to go through a billion tests if I start tomorrow and have to test all the way until day 20something. And what if I missed it entirely? I'm not sure what help I'm looking for, I'm just confused.

It's possible to get EWCM at various points in your cycle. Sometimes I get it a week before I O. I wouldn't worry too much, but definitely anyway. Also, I invested in some of the cheapie OPK tests so that I don't go through so many of the digitals. You might want to try that so you can be confident that you're starting early enough. Good luck!
