EWCM confused

Ladies I have a question about EWCM and I was hoping that you'd be able to help me.

I always thought if you saw EWCM in your 2ww then that was a good sign. Now I read that you get the EWCM to confirm that you ovulated.

Here's where I'm confused...I had ovulation cramps Saturday/Sunday. Fertility Friend said that my possible Ovulation dates were Friday-Sunday SO if I had EWCM yesterday does that mean I ovulated yesterday.

From things I have read-- and according to some on here, the presence of EWCM means that ovulation is coming within the next few days.

I'll give it a try. Rising estrogen levels help the EWCM form. EWCM usually appears as ovulation approaches, and helps the sperm travel.

After ovulation, several physiological changes usually bring on increased progesterone production, which makes the CM change and the CM is less conducive to sperm traveling (pasty, creamy).

Also, sexual arousal fluid can look like EWCM.

EWCM later in your cycle could also mean your body is still attempting to ovulate. Taking temps helps tell if ovulation has occurred with a sustained rise.

ETA: sexual arousal fluid can remain in your system for 1 whole day after sex.

i think i'm just down and out because i missed my ovulation day. i guess it's not over under AF shows up.

I had EWCM right before O and during the 2ww and I thought the same thing about it being a good sign for me. Well I was wrong. Thats just me. Good luck.
