Confused about strollers!

I saw a lot of you recommended a snap n go. Is this something to get in addition to a stroller??

I registered for the uppababy Cruz with the newborn insert and got the adapter for the car seat. Is that all that I need?

What's the point of a snap n go if you can put the car seat on the stroller?Chat Icon

Re: Confused about strollers!

the snap and go is smaller and lighter so people prefer to use that rather take a regular bigger stroller

I liked it a lot i dont know that i would have paid $100 for it but i got one used and that was basically the only stroller i used until she was out of the infant car seat

The snap and go is SO convenient! We decided not not to buy the converter so our car seat didn't attach to our stroller. The snap and go is much lighter and less bulking IMO than a snap and go. Try them out in the store and see which you prefer.

Confused about strollers!

The Snap and Go was the greatest thng ever as far as I'm concerned. I tell people not to register for travel systems because they're big and bulky. The SnG weighs next to nothing and it's small so it's easy to maneuver. I only used the SnG until DS was too big for the infant seat, then I used a Maclaren.

If you registered for a stroller with a carseat adapter then it might not make sense for you to have one.

Confused about strollers!

get a used one off the buy and sell board if you can- its only worth it in that case- its $70 new and you use it for such a short time. But I definitely did find it useful. Especially because when DS was first born, my car was a compact bmw and had like zero trunk space- so it was good not to have to lug the full size stroller around

Re: Confused about strollers!

Right now we plan on getting the City Select and the car seat adapter so we have less stuff around the house. DH has a mustang and I have a small 2 door car as well. We plan on getting a Explorer a month or 2 before baby comes. IF we end up waiting longer for some reason I would get the snap and go just b/c it would fit easier in my trunk. If we have the explorer I am just going to skip it.

Re: Confused about strollers!

We are getting the uppababy cruz and with that stroller and a car seat adapter, you do NOT NEED a snap n go. It basically becomes one since the entire seat comes out and you can use the frame to fit the car seat in. I actually prefer it over the snap n go because the wheels are better and the basket is massive. It provides the EXACT SAME function so def no need to have both. Chat Icon

What color did you get in the cruz? We got red.

Re: Confused about strollers!

For us, we would have had to buy an adapter which was a PITA to connect to the stroller - then, once the adapter was on, clicking on the infant car seat was a PITA too... and THEN, all said and done, it weighed a ton. I was like screw this lol. So, the guy was like just get the "Baby Trend® Single Snap-N-Go Stroller" which is $74.99 on our registry -- the adapter was about $30 so for 40-50 bucks more I figured the convenience is well worth it. Plus, this is on our registry so we are hoping to be given it as a gift. Fingers crossed! It's very light weight and easy to push and depending on how your child grows and the weight of your child, he/she could be using this for 9+ months - my one girlfriend used it for the entire first year. So, IMO, worth it Chat Icon

Re: Confused about strollers!

If you already got the adapter for your stroller then it's not necessary.

The adapter for the city mini with DD1 was the same price as the snap n go frame, so to lessen the wear and tear on the city mini we got the frame and used that the first 6 months when out and about.

A few more questions Chat Icon

How long would you use the snap n go for? What do you use after that, a regular stroller?

Re: Confused about strollers!

Get the snap and go and whichever stroller you choose try and get one that converts to a double. If you plan to have more kids!

Re: Confused about strollers!

U could only use the snap and go for length that they are in the infant car seat . I think the snap is go is nice to have for quick trips out if u don't want to lug the whine stroller. We got the uppa vista in navy blue.
