confused about double strollers
I'm due in September. DS will be exactly 2 years old.
I don't know what I "need". I don't understand what a sit and stand is and I'm not sure if I need that or a traditional double stroller and what I should be looking for.
I like the look of the double city mini - but I read that it doesn't hold an infant seat.... I heard one step ahead has something that converts from a double to a sit and stand....
anyway - can someone point me in the right direction? LOL The more I read the more confused I get!

I only have DS, so I can't really help with what you 'need', but I do know that the citymini has a car seat adapter---I have the single and will most likely get this as my double when its time. Here is the link to the adapter for double or single

Re: confused about double strollers
Mine will be 23 months apart when the baby comes. Well I ended up getting 2 strollers - b/c I figured I would have different needs.
I got the bumbleride indie twin - which takes an infant seat. The city mini I believe now does take an infant seat since they added an adaptor bar this year.
I also go the Sit and stand deluxe from One Step ahead. I like that one b.c it has two seats and then the rear seat is removable so that the older child can use it as a sit and stand when you don't want to use the seat.
I looked at it this way - the sit and stand was for shorter trips, shopping where a side by side doesn't easily fit, or for trips where DD will want to run and not sit in a stroller, so I can convert it to a sit and stand. I will use the side by side (which is also a jogger) for long walks, days at the zoo etc where they can both see and DD will be comfortable when she decides she is tired of walking.

Re: confused about double strollers
My DC are 5 months and 18 months and I bought the Citi Mini double stroller a few weeks ago. I am not using it with a car seat, but I know they sell an adapter. So far I like it, and my DC seem to like it too. Today we were out shopping and they both fell asleep in it, at the same time, for 1.5 hours.
