Cleaning a Glass Shower Door
What do you use?
I am finding that Windex does not work. what do you use to get the hard water stains off it?

I use soft scrub just on the bottom of the door where the soap scum collects. Then I rinse off and use Windex. I love the white Windex - it works on everything.

I used a generic bath & tile cleaner to remove all the scum, then I use windex afterwards.

As per my MIL I use Bon-Ami. It's an old-school, no scratch cleanser that doesn't have any fumes or bleachy smell and it's very inexpensive. Sometimes the manufacturer runs a special 89 cents a can, top price I've paid $1.29
I rinse down the glass, scrub Bon-Ami on it (just as if you were using old fashioned Comet cleanser but Comet scratches), rinse again, squeegy and spot clean with Windex if I need to.
BTW: You can also use it on baked on stubborn stains on your pots and pans and glass dishes.
Before my MIL told me about it, I, like you, hated shower doors... I could never get them clean.

OMG, Bon-Ami, my Nana swears by it and buys it in bulk. She must have 10 cans on hand at one time. I never thought of trying it, but if my Nana's been using in it for 30+ years, it must be good. Thanks for reminding me!

Also another great tip is to use Rain-X, it repels the water and prevents spotting. You still have to wipe it down/squeegee but it works great.

where can you get it?
Most supermarkets carry it. It's old school so it's usually on the bottom shelf.
It's a gold old-fashioned cleanser can with red and white lettering.
I'll try to find a pic.
ETA: As you can see there is no chlorine, perfumes or dyes for those worried about such. That's why you can also use it on cookware.

Comet Bathroom Cleaner in the spray bottle. cleans and disinfects and WORKS. wipes off with a damp sponge....
magic eraser also works!

When I had one I used white vinegar w/ water in a spray bottle and wiped it clean with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Spotless

I use a lightly abrasive cleaner called "Astonish" and it works fantastically. Soft Scrub also is a great general bathroom cleaner, always gets rid of the soap scum.
