Re: Christening
Luka will be 5 months at his christening. It was the earliest we could do it do to his godparents being away.

Re: Christening
We Christened Emma 2 weeks ago - She's 7 months old. The hardest part was finding a dress that fit.

Re: Christening
We literally just did our daughter's Christening this Sunday and she is 9 months old.
We were able to find a dress OK. She wore a size 12 month dress and they are so volumous anyway that it was just fine.
She was the biggest girl in the church -- all the other babies were around 2-4 months about, but that's okay with us. We are just glad we finally did it!

Re: Christening
We just did ours this past weekend too. Marron is 2.5 months old. I was baptized when I was 3 weeks old so I thought I was very late having DD done this weekend. I'm glad everybody nowadays is waiting longer.

Re: Christening
I don't think there is a time limit. Babies are blessed in his eyes already.
We are waiting until October for selfish reasons. We love the fall and it will be cooler out. Andrew will be 5 months

Re: Christening
3 mos....6 mos is not too old. My mother Christened us at 2 weeks(an italian thing). I didnt see the rush. Plus I didn't want my DD passed around without having her shots. I don't think God will mind

Re: Christening
Nate was a few days shy of 6 months. I would have done it earlier but I waited so my family could come to Chicago during Thanksgiving weekend.
ETA: No I don't think 6 months is too long.

Re: Christening
We christened DD at 7 weeks old, I didn't want her to be older, tradition/cultural thing.
But I do know people, including cousins of mine that just christened their kids at 6+ months.

Re: Christening
we christened DD when she was 3 1/2 months. She was actually one of the youngest in the church.. I dont think there is anything wrong with waiting until 6 months.

Re: Christening
Molly was 8 weeks old to the day. I did not want to wait plus in order to wear my grandmother's gown she had to be very young. I was christened at less than 1 month old.

Re: Christening
DD will be a week shy of 4 months. I don't think 6 months is too old, whenever you choose is best for youand your family. My family there is a tradition that you usually baptize by 3 months, I also have friends that baptized at 4-6 weeks.

Ryan was 6 weeks and I wanted to do it earlier. I believe in having it done ASAP but not many people do.
