Re: Centerpiece spin off
I cared what people thought - I put a lot of care into every single choice I made. But I didn't care if they thought it was EXPENSIVE or not... I cared that they recognized that I put a lot of heart into my decisions so that they could have the best time possible.
Of course that was during wedding prep when I was insane. Once the day of my wedding came I didn't care about anything except celebrating with the people I loved!

I wanted things to look elegant and classy. I couldn't care less if people thought they were expensive.

Same here. People actually commented about how much they thought we spent. They were way off base. Thats why i got married in the winter.

Re: Centerpiece spin off
I wanted everything to be to my taste regardless of what people thought about prices. The flowers were probably more expensive than they looked, because I insisted that the florist use no greens and no filler anywhere. The band, on the other hand, was less expensive than most people would have guessed. We used Nitefilght. People love them, they are a bigger band and their prices are very reasonable.

I wanted things to look elegant
some people equate that with expensive
agreed!!
people thought i spent hundreds on my gobo light, for example, and in reality it was 43 dollars lol
then people don't realize how much some things cost and they ended up running me a lot - it all depends.
but to me it was about elegance and class - and i just hoped for the best when it came to the price tag. meaning, i went towards what my heart wanted and where my "taste" took me and then just hoped it was affordable lol sometimes it was, sometimes it wasn't.
and i cared what i thought of the outcome - meaning, how it looked and if my "taste" and design and style was conveyed - then, if people happened to like that also - gravy!

Not at all. I did what I did because I wanted it.

Re: Centerpiece spin off
For me I wasn't so concerned with what the centerpieces cost...I used hydrangeas, which is a flower I love. I didn't want to spend much on CPs as they don't last. I chose to spend more on our photographers, and for us it was the best decision I made because I will always have those photos.
