Ive personally renamed the PTA
The
POWER TRIP ASSOCIATION.  
Some of them take it WAYYYY to seriously ! 
and yes, in general, women can be ridiculous over nothing.
and me too
I give my heart and soul to good people. but cross me the wrong way and watch out.

I am ALWAYS nice right from the start. I have to admit though, if a girl acts like that to me the first time I meet her, I'm done with her. I would not invest any time in being friends or trying to get to know her if she can't even say hello upon meeting me for the first time. Who needs that BS????
Oh! And if I do find myself in the same company as her again, she'll know the impression she left on me without me even opening my mouth

I find this kind of thing to be more common now in my ADULT life than when I was in HS!!!

I honestly believe it stems from insecurity. Secure, healthy people do not feel the need to cut others down, be rude to people they don't even know or make catty comments behind peoples back on a regular basis.
I would say both of those women feel that they have to act better than you in order for you to think they are someone.
Just my two cents.
ITA!! I feel bad for them really.
I agree too, and as far as the location thing, women like this are everywhere, but since I've been living in the Midwest, I don't think I have encountered one person like this.
It's so unfortunate that people feel the need to act that way. It's takes so much less energy to be nice rather than go out of your way to be nasty.

Honestly, these girls are just jealous of you. At least thats what I tell myself when I encounter people like that!
