i seem to be in the minority! i pay cash for everything i can except for large purchases and gas. i don't carry a lot of cash, but if i know i'm going to buy something, i take it out. i never ever ever use debit...i would never be able to keep track of it

I use my credit card but then pay it in full every month - I do that b/c I get money back on my card and by doing that last year I got enough back for a camcorder - I used to only use cash but I wasn't getting anything for it - so this made more sense. I wouldn't do that though unless you can pay the full balance every month.

I prefer cash but I use credit when I want the purchase to be protected (if I think I could possibly have a dispute). DH likes debit but I hate how easy it is to lose track of the account balances. He is really good at keeping track of that, though.

We have a cash back rewards card so we use that for as much as possible during the month then pay it off at the end of the month.

Charge - we have various reward Credit Cards. But I make sure I pay them in full each month.

I charge everything and rack up the miles.
I also pay my cc bill in full each month so in the end I am getting the best deal.
But - I always have $100 cash or so on me, plus a folded up hidden $50 bill in my wallet "just in case".
