Buying on Craigslist

We are in need of a "new" sofa. My living room is a playroom in almost every sense of the word so we don't want to spend any significant amount of money on this sofa (loveseat actually).

Would you buy a loveseat/sofa on Craigslist? I thought about it but then started thinking about what if's - like what if it has bedbugsChat Icon

Am I just being crazy?

Where can I look for an inexpensive loveseat? (NOT Ikea, we vowed never to go back there after some frustrating experiences)

Re: Buying on Craigslist

Jennifer Convertables always has really great prices. I don't know anything about the quality though.

Personally, I would buy on craigslist because I like a good deal lol. I am always buying stuff on there.

Re: Buying on Craigslist

I would not due to fear of bedbugs. Not an upholstered peice. But many do.

We did 5 years ago. It was an almost brand new raymour and flanigan microsuede couch. We still have it! The bed bug issue wasn't huge then.

this! my friend furnished her house in college with big lots furniture, and it lasted a long time! there are also other discount furniture stores around (i know there is one off the van wyck in queens). i even saw a nice futon couch recently at (i think it was) kohls. if you just need something basic, im sure you can find what you need at a brick-n-mortar store.
