britax boulevard, installation questions
I swear that carseat is impossible to install. Maybe is just me its so heavy and I can't get the angle right for rf. Is there any tricks? This may be a stupid question but do you do both the latch system and the belt

Re: britax boulevard, installation questions
only latch or seatbelt - not both
it can be tricky on some cars - i had trouble in my old car with latch but this one is easy

Re: britax boulevard, installation questions
My DH installed ours. It was a little tricky at first, but then he realized he had to use a rolled up towel to get the angle right.

Re: britax boulevard, installation questions
on youtube theres a video. it makes it look easy but it took dh a lot longer to do. we did a rolled towel to get the right angel or you can use a pool water noodle

Re: britax boulevard, installation questions
Never use both LATCH lower anchors and the seat belt together. Angle can be as upright as 30 degrees once baby can hold his/her head up.
I posted a pic yesterday, but the best way for Britax is to try to get behind the seat, lean over the top with your body leaning in towards the bottom/back of vehicle seat, pull both latch straps. Really get your weight in there for leverage. You can also put your knee in the seat and put your body weight on that way too.
To check your angle, put your kid in. the lines/levels they put on the seats aren't always accurate.
Seat is correct when you can't move more than 1" side to side or front to back at the belt path ONLY. (if you move the top of the seat, it WILL move and is supposed to)
If you decide to tether RF, use the D ring and wrap it around the track of the front seat (passenger or driver whichever it is behind, if middle then whichever is easier to access) attach the tether and tighten but leave some slack. You don't want to tighten so much that it pulls the angle of the seat down more.
Make sure you've put the blvd into recline mode as well

Re: britax boulevard, installation questions
We couldn't use the latch with our car and the boulevard. Bring it to a car seat check for them to help you.
