Britax Boulevard Installation help
Does anyone have a Boulevard? We are trying to install it in the middle of our truck (rear facing). We have the seat belt part done, but the tethers are so confusing. According to the pictures, it looks like the tethers come around the sides and over the back seat, but it looks weird to have two extra straps coming across both sides of DD. Do you have to use the tethers?

Re: Britax Boulevard Installation help
I never understood using the top tethers going to the back. I used the extra strap piece that comes with the seat, and wrapped it around part of the front seat frame. Then, I attached the tether forward, and into that 6" strap.

Re: Britax Boulevard Installation help
We had the boulevard installed by the state troopers and they did not use the tether.

Honestly, they probably didn't know. The Britax brand is one of the only brands in the US that can use the top tether rear-facing. The vast majority of seats warn against using it, because the seat will snap in half in an accident. Since Britax is a European company, they have different standards, so the tether can be used rear-facing.

Re: Britax Boulevard Installation help
Thanks for the help. I wound up not using the tether. It's very secure and isn't budging.
I just hate looking at it now...it means DD is growing up.

They knew, I asked them about it. They said it was fine without it.
