Re: Bouncer vs Exersaucer vs Rocker vs Swings
I personally registered for the all 3. The bouncer is the first for months. THe swing is a little later, and the exersaucer is for leg strength. jmo

They are all completely different.
IMO - you need a swing, and you need a bouncer for when the baby is first born (through about 6 months)
Once the baby is 4-5 months they will live in the exercauser. This is a must have.
I liked the newborn to toddler rocker for when my son outgrew the bouncy.
All are must have's I think!

Re: Bouncer vs Exersaucer vs Rocker vs Swings
I registered for a bouncer and exersaucer.
I inherited a FP Papasan cradle swing from my SIL (but would have registered for one if I didn't). I'm not sure what the rocker is but I didn't register for one .

Re: Bouncer vs Exersaucer vs Rocker vs Swings
We registered for the bouncer, swing & exersaucer.
I think they are all necessities...I know I will get a lot of use out of the bouncer & swing in the beginning. Then when he is able to sit up on his own, the exersaucer will be a nice addition & something to keep his attention

Still a little confused.
The rocker and the bouncer don't act as the same thing?

We registered for the swing and the jumperoo (not sure if this is the same as a bouncer or exersaucer)

They do and they don't.
The bouncy is great for when they are newborns - but once they hit a certain weight limit they will be very low to the ground. Also the bouncy is good stimulation for when they are little....the rocker is a tad boring!
The Rocker converts into a chair and the back can be adjusted, so you can use that up to toddler years. So, technically if you only want to buy one - I would go with the rocker because it will last you longer. The bouncy bounces....the rocker vibrates. Alot of newborns like the bounciness (not even a word I know ) of the bouncer.
Does that make sense?

I registered for all but the Rocker. I heard they are great though. It doesn't hurt to register for all of them and figure out what works best for your baby.

Re: Bouncer vs Exersaucer vs Rocker vs Swings
Bouncer (actually, this one vibrates, its the baby papasan), a exercauser and a jumparoo (one for upstairs and one for downstairs) and a swing (baby papasan again).

Re: Bouncer vs Exersaucer vs Rocker vs Swings
I never registered for or used a rocker. I used the bouncer right away. It was a necessity for us. I'd bring the bouncer with me in the bathroom so I could take a shower and still keep an eye on DS. The swing was also one of the most used things in our house. We started putting DS in it early on, but he didn't start liking it for a few weeks. It was the only thing he'd take a long nap in other than our arms. We started using the exersaucer at 4 months. DS is 8 months old and still enjoys playing in it. I highly recommend getting all 3.

Re: Bouncer vs Exersaucer vs Rocker vs Swings
I couldn't of lived without a swing. I used it from the first day he was home until about 5 months. The Bouncer was also very important. If you need to do something like shower or use the bathroom, you can bring the Bouncer with you. I also have the newborn/infant rocker but I think it was no different then my bouncer. You really can just get one or the other.
I have a Jumperoo and he loves it, but I didn't start using it until 4.5 months.

Re: Bouncer vs Exersaucer vs Rocker vs Swings
they all have different functions a bouncer is for the first few months...kind of just for teh baby to hang out in exersaucer is for when the baby is older. the one i registered for also has one of those gym mats (for the floor) and an activity bench. the swing is alos for the baby to hang out in but obviously has a lot more motion than the bouncer (the bouncer i reg. for just vibrates) i registered for all 3
