i have Britax roundabout 55 but my husband changed it to this one because he said the Britax is too big and heavy. But my daughter is having a hard time sleeping in this car seat.

No. A 2 year old should be in a 5 point harness.

From the website - the link you posted:
For children 4-10 years old, from 40-100 lbs and 40” to 57” tall.

IMO, A 2yo should still be in a 5pt harness car seat, regardless of weight. How about the height limits? The seatbelt may not fit her properly. Car seats for the littles is a great informative FB group.

A child must be mature enough to use a booster seat-- meaning she will not squirm out of it or try to unbuckle. A booster seat is much less safe than a 5 point harness. 4 yo is about right, although I know lots of people who keep older kids in 5 point harness seats.
Also, your DC will not have an easier time sleeping in a booster- in a booster, especially a backless one, DC will be falling all over the place when he/she sleeps!

i really dont want to change the seat but my hubby removed it already :( we are just going to fight every day because of this. honestly he is more concern about his leather seat. he said its now ruined because of that britax.

Re: booster seat for 2 year old
It is illegal for a child under 4 to be in a booster, let alone extremely unsafe. Ask your husband what he values more- his cars seats or his child's life.

Isn't that why those car seat mats exist?
I'm sorry but leather seats or your child's safety should be a no brainer.

Wow!!
Tell your husband that your daughter can die if in an accident if she is in a booster. She is way too young! Ideally, she should still be rear facing. And she most definitely should still be in a 5 pt harness at 2. Please fight your husband on this. Your daughters life may depend on this.

IMO the safety of your still very young child should far outweigh a silly leather seat.

Then change it back. This is a fight worth having. Your child's safety is 110% more important than the leather seats in his car.

If you read the specifications it says for children not younger than 4. I would tell your husband tough shit, put the other car seat back in. If he wont, do it yourself, and have it checked somewhere if you're unsure about the installation.

But you can do something. It's worth doing something. You must do something.
Personally if my husband were like this, I'd say, either put the correct carseat(s) back in the car or GTFO. But that's just me.

Car seat mats arent safety tested and shouldnt be used with the seat.
I agree, if your dh is having a hard time choosing between leather seats or your child's safety, you've got a more serious problem.

are you serious? he is concerned over his leather seat..not the safety of his child? I just don't get it.

My bad!
But either way safety far outweighs seat damage!!!

My husband is crazy about his leather seats too, but not to the point of endangering my kids.
There are products available, like this that protect the seat.
Take a look at this website.
ETA: I know the seat protector isn't tested, and aren't 100% kosher, but I think they are the lesser of the evils when thinking about either installing a booster for a 2yo or being able to keep the age appropriate 5 pt harness.

Re: booster seat for 2 year old
I would not allow my husband to drive my child anywhere in a backless booster at the age of 2.
Seriously, car accidents are the number one cause of death among children. He is putting her life at risk every time she gets in the car.
If he doesn't like the britax go buy a light seat like a Costco scenera or a saftey first guide65. But she needs to be in a harness, no question about it.
