Bon Jovi Fans!!!!
Last night, opening night at the ROCK in Newark was AMAZING.
Chemical Romance was on till about 8:15 or so...and then it was Bon Jovi till 11:20...
It was an amazing show!!! Anyone going...have a great time!
ETA my Parking Information:
Mass transit:
Yes, it is very easy for mass transit and I recommend - you are across the street from Newark Penn Station so if you are coming from NY or anywhere else in NJ you will have it nice coming into Newark.
Driving:
Ok, so for parking - it was not as bad as they said it was GOING to be on TV. I work there, and you could ALMOST not tell a difference. My bro's GF was able to PREPAY her parking by going onto the pru center site and she got into VIP parking. It was really easy and she is from NY. Took her 1 hour, 30 mins from Queens.
So - either way, driving or taking mass transit there is no issue -- reallly easy.
Enjoy the center - there are great bars called fire and ice inside and it was really beautiful.

Aside from the expense... it's actually much easier to get to than the Meadowlands. It's a 10 minute train ride from Penn Station, and 2 blocks from the station in Newark.

I think you'd be better off with taking the train if at all possible. We live less than a 15 minute drive from there, but we're taking the train to avoid the parking/traffic.

Can I just say...OMFG what an incredible show!!!! First of all, I could kick myself for not bringing my camera. We were sitting in the extreme nose bleed section, and just after Rich & Big finished, the usher comes over and tells our entire section to move to Section 10 next to the stage ON THE FLOOR!  I was dying being so close to Jon Bon Jovi and his azz! Freakin' awesome!!!!
