Body acting strange
a few days last week i became very shaky adrenaline pumping, I was pumped up as if I had taken caffeine pills. Work has been overwhelming so this could just be my nerves or anxiety although when I was feeling like this I didn't feel stressed out.
Yesterday we were out and All of a sudden I became over heated, almost felt a cold sweet coming on and nearly passed out. I got really dizzy and sick to my stomach. It last for about 10 minutes. The place was crowded and hot but Im still surprised This happened.
Has either of these happened to you while pregnant? Any idea of a cause?
Eta im 13 weeks

Re: Body acting strange
This happens to me normally, but happened a lot while I was pregnant too. It was always when I had low blood sugar, but for some reason it usually happened in crowded spaces like malls... I would always test my sugar when I got home and it was low.. Maybe it's related to that?

Re: Body acting strange
This happened to me in the beginning too.
Sometimes I still feel like my heart is racing and I have that weird brain feeling like too much caffeine.
I think dehydration is a major culprit. I drink as much water as I can and sit down for a few mins and usually feel much better after that.

Re: Body acting strange
I got this alot with DD#1 and am starting again with DD#2. I always carry hard candy with me to take when I start getting heated/dizzy/lightheaded. The doc said that it could be because I have low blood pressure and being pregnant puts more stress on it. But also, a second opinion was that I become hypoglycemic during pregnancy. In short, when I have too many heavy carbs (like bagels) for breakfast, my body produces too much insulin and drains me of sugar/energy. I was told to eat a protein in the morning with my breakfast to avoid that reaction but that the hard candy would fix my issue with either one of these causes.
Def. tell your doctor at your next appointment and hope my experience helps.

Re: Body acting strange
Thank you. Again today I had really bad jitters. I think i need to eat a good breakfast in the AM which is so hard bc i leave by 620am it also doesnt help that my job has been crazy lately and i think some anxiety is mixing in causing this reaction. I only think this bc its been happening at work.

Re: Body acting strange
sounds anxiety related/panic attack like. I've been there and done that so hope it gets better for you!
