Best parks with playgrounds in Western NS Suffolk
Where are the nice parks with nice kiddie playground areas that you would recommend, from Huntington area to Commack/Smithtown?
I know about Hecksher and Northport but anywhere else you would recommend?

I like Clay Pitts in East Northport.
Bellerose is a new one in Northport- just opened I think last summer.
Also, the one by the East Northport library is nice.
There is one off of Commack Road- its huge- in the summer it has an adjacent sprinkler park- just discovered it at the end of last summer- not sure of the name?

We love hoyt farm, but its town of smithtown resdients. They have an older sand playground, a modern playground, and a sprinkler park area. Plus you can walk through the trails and see animals.
Sunken meadow also has a nice new playground.

these are pretty much the ones we go to including Hecksher, Northport, oh and Elwood park, sometimes Crab Meadow beach in Northport if it is warm out, but its a hike. Hoyt Farm is the one with the sprinkler park and animals. I park on the local streets and walk in, the parking lot is for Smithtown residents only.
