Best Playgrounds/Parks on Long Island
The beautiful weather today got me thinking! Let's add our favorite parks and playgounds on the island.
I'll start:
Playground:
Venetian Shores, Lindenhurst
Robert Moses, Field 5
Park for hiking/walking:
Southards Pond, Babylon
Fire Island Lighthouse Boardwalk
Caumsett State Park, Lloyd Neck
Connetquot River State Park, Oakdale(?)

i love the duck pond in stony brook village & avalon park (right there by pond) where you can walk..it's gorgeous!
eta: further down in the village is a cute little beach & a great ice cream shoppe

I like the wedge one in mt sinai...lol...it also happens to be close to us! It has a sep toddler and "big kid" section which is nice (uh, unless the big kids come over, which they sometimes do... dd stood there wide eyed with her mouth hanging open when she saw big kids standing on the swings!)
