Been in "early labor" for almost 16 hours now...

Ok so I'll be 41 weeks tomorrow and I woke up this morning at 2am with mild contractions. Started timing them around 5-6am and they were averaging 5 minutes apart. Called my dr at 9:30 and they had me come in. Dr said I was only 2 cm and the baby still hadn't dropped, so he sent me home. Chat Icon Now it has been 6 hours since I got home and NOTHING has changed. Been having very uncomfortable/painful contractions all day long between 5-7 mins apart lasting about 30-45 seconds each. My water hasn't broken and the contractions aren't getting any closer together. Help!! Please tell me there is a light at the end of this tunnel! I feel like I'm not progressing at all, and my dr doesn't want me calling back until either my water breaks, I see blood, or the contractions start getting closer together and more intense. When is that going to happen?!?!!? Arrrgghghhh I don't really know why I'm posting... just looking for some vibes I guess!!! I can't take much more of this "in between" stage!!

My contractions started at 4am, went into the hospital the next evening at 7, 13 hours later, so I can relate. My advice is GO FOR A WALK!! I wasn't progressing at all either, they were 5-7 minutes apart most of the day w/no change; but when my DH got home from work at 5pm we went for a walk, and w/in 15 minutes my contractions were 3 minutes apart and we went to the hospital an hour later. I delivered right before midnight. All my girlfriends said that walking helps speed things up and they were right for me! GOOD LUCK! :) :)
