Bathing 9 Month Old
Hello, We have 9 month old twins who are too big for their tub in the kitchen sink. The twins try to stand up and I am afraid they are going to bang their head on the cabinets. Tonight, we bathed them in the bathtub with a seat designed for babys in the tub. The seat is fine and it keeps them still. However, it does not enable us to get their tush clean unless we hold them up and scrub under them. This is dangerous! If we are not careful they can hit their head on the tub. How are you bathing your 9 month olds???

Bathing 9 Month Old
I started dd in the regular tub at like 10 months... I definitely could have gone to it sooner though... I have a non slip mat down that she sits on and she crawls around the tub... I use that opportunity to get her backside it's really not as hard as it my seem at first... I wouldn't even bother with the seats at this age... As long a they can sit up well, they are ready for the big tub IMO

I still put my 9 month old in the plastic tub that shes been using since she was born. We put the tub on the island in the kitchen. She sits in it nicely. I have put that tub inside the regular bathtub a few times but it's easier for me to bathe her in the kitchen since shes at eye level.

OK, I know this looks ridiculous, but I just saw it on pinterest and I think its genius!
They also make inflatable tubs you can put in the tub or bathtub bumpers.

Re: Bathing 9 Month Old
Yeah this is a great idea!! DD is 13 months and we're still using the tub in the sink. Mostly because my bathroom where we're renting now is old and for some reason I skeeve putting her in there.
What does everyone do with those inflatable tubs when you're done????

Just bath her the best way you can & before you officially take her out while standing, rub her down. My twins are 18M now & this is how we did it.

I used the blow up duck tub at that age. Bathed them alone.

I still have my 1 year old daughter in the baby tub and just put it in the regular tub. She doesn't try to get up so I'm not switching until she does!

My DS has been in the tub no seat or anything since about 7-8 months.
As long as they sit then its fine. Easy to clean him.

Re: Bathing 9 Month Old
I used to tell her I had to clean her butt and then I would lean her over my right arm while cleaning with my left. She quickly got the idea and would hold onto the side and lift her tush up for me when I told her it was time to clean her butt. I still have her in the small tub in our tub.

I use the bath seat, and I try my best to get under her bottom by lifting her up a bit.
