Baby suddenly won't sleep in crib - thoughts?
DD is 8 weeks old and had her first shots on Friday and ever since then we can not get to sleep in her crib. She is fine during the day, no fever, slightly crankier than normal, but night time has been quite a scene.
Friday she did not sleep, she was up every hour we stuck it out and kept her in her crib, just kept getting her and holding her every time she cried etc
Saturday was the same story but after 4 hours trying to get her to sleep she was screaming bloody murder and had no choice but to bring her in our room and she slept in her "rock-n-play"
Last night same thing, hours of trying to get her to sleep. Tried putting her in the crib wide awake, she coos at her mobile, gets bored and cries. Tried putting her down "drowsy" and she cries immediately. When we put her down asleep, she will sleep for a half hour and wake up uncontrollable crying. We tried all the "go-to" methods, swaddling, white noise, rocking, she was changed and fed etc. I don't know if she just doesn't want to be alone or just hates the mattress or is scared or what. I know she doesn't have refulx or anything, she is fine laying flat on her activity mat and when she plays with the mobile in the crib
she had been sleeping in her crib for 2 and half weeks of course with some hiccups along the way, sometimes sleeping through the night, sometimes not.
Any advice? I know she is too young for CIO so I won't entertain that but is this just something that happens with babies? I am going back to work in 4 weeks and would like to have her in her own crib by then...

Baby suddenly won't sleep in crib - thoughts?
I found with my DS that he seems to go through many different phases when it comes to his sleep. There will be periods of time where he's STTN just fine in his crib and then all of a sudden, he's not. IMO, especially since she is so young, I would just keep doing whatever you have to do for her (and you) to get some sleep. If that means she has to spend a few nights in the rock-n-play, so be it. I would keep trying the crib. She will probably surprise you and all of a sudden start sleeping in her crib again like nothing had changed. When I go through these phases with DS, they usually don't last very long. It just FEELS like it's going on forever when you're not getting enough sleep. Hang in there! I'm sure this will pass!
