Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
Kind of. We just spit out a bunch of names. Honestly, we don't have one picked yet. We kind of have it narrowed down but we don't love any of them .

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
Not a chance. SOMEbody will manage to ruin it for us by expressing their dislike for the names we have chosen and trust me, they are not all that funky - rather traditional. It happens with every family. If I hear anyone saying anything about our choices, they will promptly be put in check.

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
never again DH and I came up w/ a name and told our family. one of our cousin's took the name and used it for a pet. I will never again make that mistake. I fig. it was safe to tell bc noone else was having a baby. Did I learn my lesson the hard way. I'm still furious about it

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
Yep, we did.
ETA: I had always said that I loved certain names so it wasn't much of a shock when I chose one of them.

I did, but will not be doing it for the next one... People really don't hold back on their opinions.. IT is VERY annoying

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
We did but only because the two of us are okay telling someone/anyone that we don't really give a cr** if they like the names or not. If you will be easily offended by people's comments, and there will be comments, then I would suggest not saying anything. Like I said, for us, we didn't really care what anyone thought and we were fine saying so.

Not after the last time- everyone had a comment. Plus we aren't finding out the sex this time, so I won't be sharing until we know.

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
We already shared our name choices with immediate family (parents & our siblings). I probably won't share with friends or co-workers, only because we plan to find out the gender of the baby, and I would like to have something as a surprise when we announce the baby's here

Yes, I told everybody. My Mom loves the name and hates the name. Oh well.

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
If people ask me, I'm honest and I tell them. When they make a rude comment I always say, 'good thing this isn't going to be your child" and that usually gets my point across. lol XOXOXO BOTB

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
We told everyone our boy name, but never had a girl name until 2 days after DD was born.
Didn't matter. DH's cousin when she heard the name asked him why we named her after his granmother and said nobody really liked her (grandmother) anyway.

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
crashing from parenting we chose to found out the sex of the baby and told everyone...they had the rest of my preg. to guess the name because we decided to keep that to ourselves...my MIL has a bad habit of turning her nose up at alot of things and i didnt feel like dealing and having her try and change our mind for months. I did spill the beans on the middle name to my mom and best friend but there was so much meaning behind it no one could say anything but good things.
We chose between 3 names everyone knew that...after DD was born and we told them the name his youngest sister and mom asked what the other names were...we said we werent telling incase we wanted to use them if we had another DD down the road (still wanted no opinons on what we should have chosen!)

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
We told everyone, I felt no point in keeping it a secret. I've had no bad comments, but could care less if there were some comments. It's nice because everyone in my family refers to the baby by her name already, its sooo cute :)

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
We don't choose "crazy" names but there are too many people with opinions out there . I told a few people that I know won't give their opinion regardless of what we name our baby. One I mentioned it to because she just named her son our boy name. I wanted to make sure she would be OK if we were to name our baby the same name (if we have a boy). I have been trying to avoid it but there are very few "nice" names with the letter we need to use.

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
NO!!!!!
We will tell them after the baby is born and we introduce them to the baby. I really dislike it when people tell you what they are naming their baby and someone pipes up that they knew some kid in indergaten who threw sand in their face and ever since they have hated that name. Why do people do that??
Either way, we will just keep it a secret till they arrive

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
Well we haven't decided on names yet. But we have shared what names we do like and everyone has little comments about each one. So when we do finally decide on names we decided to keep it a secret.

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
DH and I think we want to keep it to ourselves.. if we ever do decide on a name. With my dd family had comments on her middle name saying she sounds old. I dont really care about what others say but some times it does effect how you feel about a name, so i want to keep to ourselves until she/he is born.

We didn't share the baby's name until we knew the gender. I love the girl name we chose and I hope to use it one day, so it is still a secret.

Re: Are you telling people the names you chose?
I never really got why people keep it a secret. If people don't like the name who cares. I rather them deal with it now then when the baby is born.
