Are you returning to work? POLL

After giving birth, are you staying home with DC until grade school or just staying home entirely?

Re: Are you returning to work? POLL

I will not be returning to work. I may possibly go back to work PT when DD and/or future child/ren go to school.

12 weeks. Not one day longer. I will NOT, however, teach summer school next year and may never again. I need to put my foot down sometime!

Re: Are you returning to work? POLL

I'll be returning to teaching after taking 12 weeks of leave.

I would LOVE to take the rest of the year off, but I'm under my own insurance and my income pays the mortgage, so we'd be in a bit of a rough spot. Chat Icon

Re: Are you returning to work? POLL

I'm going back PT- one night a week. I want to keep working to stay up to date in my profession, but I definately don't want to work FT so this will hopefully work out perfectly.

Re: Are you returning to work? POLL

I'm undecided. Right now the plan is to take extended leave (6 months), and we'll take it from there.

As of right now I will be returning back to work. The current plan is to take a minimum of 4 months maternity...I may extend it up to 6 months.

I'll be returning to work after a five month leave. We need two incomes to live comfortably in the house/neighborhood I live in now.

I'll be returning after 12 weeks. Unless we can swing an extra couple of weeks financially, but still not sure about that.

Re: Are you returning to work? POLL

I will not be returning to work, I eventually will want to pick up something part time 1-2 days. I'm hoping my current job may let me work from home, but most likely they won't so full time mommy it will be

I am a teacher. I am due in Feb. I will be taking off until Sept (7 months). I can stay home for another year, but I hear it's better for the baby if it's not tooooo long (makes it harder to go back) and my school is VERY technologically advanced. . . I will be WAY behind the 8 ball if I am out 2 years.

I will be returning to work after my 3 months maternity leave is up. While I know it will be hard, I really don't have a choice. Gotta work to pay the bills and take care of Chat Icon

Re: Are you returning to work? POLL

As of right now, I'll be returning to work after 12 weeks. I have no choice as we bought our house 3 weeks before we found out we were pregnant. My sister will watch little boy while I am at work. However, over the past few days things have changed and I may be able to stay home with little boy for good.

Re: Are you returning to work? POLL

I'll continue to be a SAHM, though I will probably teach part-time (SAT courses, etc) if the opportunity is there, so I can keep my noggin somewhat sharp.

Re: Are you returning to work? POLL

I will be returning back to work after 12 weeks. We knew we wanted to have a family, so I took a position, (I'm a nurse) that is from 4 pm -12am, and DH is home by 3, so we always have a parent home with DD, and we each have our time with Chat Icon
