i am on maternity leave  but if i was at work, then yes, i would be off - nassau county employees get off for pretty much every holiday!

Yes I do. My principal got on the loudspeaker this morning and paid tribute to everyone staff member who has served in the military - he read out all the names - I thought that was really great!
