Are you excited to hand out candy on Halloween?
I am not! 
I plan on NOT being home as much as possible that afternoon.
After being around kids all day I just want my peace and quiet Friday afternoon! Bah!

No. I live at the top of a flight of stairs. With an infant, it aint happening. I am going elsewhere.

Absolutely...........all those cute kids in those cute costumes......It reminds me of when I was young and how much I enjoyed it.....which is another reason I give goodie bags filled with loot...I remember how exciting it was emptying those bags when I got home..........

Nope that is why i am going out until late and all lights will be off. I have some nasty kids that come around and last year was my last year of being nice and giving out treats.

I would love to, but we don't get any on our block. We have no sidewalks and that doesn't help the cause.

The first year in our house I was so excited for Halloween. Then the bratty kids showed up. No one said 'Trick or Treat!' or 'Thank you!'. Then I got the kids who asked 'Can I get one for my brother?' This year we're taking DS trick or treating and leaving a bowl of candy outside.

I never got any in los angeles, and though DH says he usually doesn't get many, I'm still excited!! He'd rather hide but there's no way i will!!

No.
We leave half out during the day while we are at work, and the other half I make DH answer the door for.
I spend most of the time watching the cat to make sure she doesnt run out from all the door opening.

Same here. Two years in a row not ONE person came to trick or treat. I was so disappointed, especially since I ended up eating all the leftover candy myself

i absolutely loathe this day. i always have and i resent being forced into participating in it. if you dont, your property gets destroyed. i buy the cheapest thing i can find and hand that out. i cant wait for this day to be over.

 Where do you live? In my neighborhood plenty of people dont participate and we just skip their houses - I have never heard of anything getting destroyed?

I am excited! It's our first Halloween in our house, so I'm curious to see how many kids we get. I think I over-bought candy!
The only problem is that I have a wedding to attend that night, and will have to be getting ready for it after work, so it's going to be hard for me to answer the door!

I don't like Halloween, but it's probably b/c I'm anti-social and I have to deal with people when they come to my door. And lucky for me...I get 100 or so kids, not including their parents.
Looks like I'll be drinking wine while doling out candy.

ahhh good point. DH bought TWO HUGE bags of candy. that will be gone by sunday. i have no self control when it comes to kitkats

Absolutely! I love Halloween.
I'm still debating writing a note to thank the woman down the block that told my daughter last year "We had a lot of princesses today, but you were the most beautiful!" then gave her extra candy for being so polite.
She's 5 now and has practically no memory. When she heard Halloween is this week, she said "Do you remember that lady who said I was the most beautiful princess? I can't wait until she sees me this year! She is going to be so excited!"
