She's 5 now and has practically no memory. When she heard Halloween is this week, she said "Do you remember that lady who said I was the most beautiful princess? I can't wait until she sees me this year! She is going to be so excited!"

much more excited this year - we have tons of trick or treaters and last year I was 6 months pregnant and was exhausted from answering the door. this year I can't wait to answer the door with DS!

Usually I really enjoy seeing the trick or treaters but this year I'm not as into it. If I'm home when they come, I'll give it out, but if I go out instead, I won't miss it.

LOVE it, but we haven't gotten trick or treaters in years We live in an apt. But we used to have kids come and it was great! But I live in graduate housing and I think the parents must have graduated since I haven't seen them in the past few years.  They were great kids too. Cute costumes and always got so excited about my decorations!

Last year we lived on a first floor and loved it. I got so much stuff and had fun with it. This year we live upstairs with a private entrance in the back and I am glad. I would not want to go up and down the stairs.

Yes! I'm not much into Halloween for myself anymore (dressing up, etc) but I look forward to giving out candy to the kids.
I always leave work early that day so I can be home in the afternoon- otherwise by the time I get home at 6 pm almost all of the trick or treaters are done.
I kind of have my own tradition of coming home early, getting the candy ready and watching all the cheesy Halloween sequels on AMC while waiting for the kiddies!

Not really. I give out only till a cetain time, the sun goes down,we close the lights and that is it. Sometimes the kids are adorable, sometimes they are not so nice and never say Thank you, sometimes they say give me my candy, etc. In my neighborhood a lot of people come in from out of the area to trick or treat, we only know that becuase they tell us what a nice area it is, etc. I am not sure why,but they seem to do this alot. Even my mail carrier's kids come to my neighborhood! He is a very nice man.

I would be if I had any kids ring my bell. We live in an area where their aren't a lot of houses so the kids all pile up in their parents cars and go to the sub communities where their are a lot of houses.
Which in a way is good I dont have all that candy in my house which means I wont eat it
