I wouldn't get offended. Unless I specifically go and check if I have friend requests, there's no way to know if there is a request waiting. Maybe LIF could send an automatic FM to that persons inbox letting them know they have a friend request waiting.

hmmmm thats weird, I get an email telling me I have a friends request waiting for me, and I also get an email when a friend has accepted me. the email comes to my personal email that i used to set up this account

I don't get the whole "My Friends" thing. It doesn't seem to serve a purpose, just waste space.
To answer the OP's question, I wouldn't get offended, but then again, I've never requested someone to add me as a friend.

I don't think it is abnormal that you are a little offended - but I'm just hoping maybe they haven't seen it yet - I don't get alerts to it - I just check it from time to time by going to MY FAMILY and then FRIENDS.

I think you have to chose the option for them to email you if you have a request. If you don't have that option checked, then no email, then no friend  I'll be your friend.

I usually get an email too, but, I was curious to see if I had anyone "waiting" and I did
So, of course I accepted. I do feel a little bad..She requested me on Dec. 16th...Oooopssss...LOL.
It's possible, like me, the person just hasn't checked.
