Ours was crazy! Having the house feel like a refrigerator is definitely worth it though!

YES!! I live in VA and its been over 100 degrees for the past week (with the heat index up to 120) and in the upper 90's all month.

I can only imagine what ours is going to be - we haven't shut ours off since June 
I'm almost 9 months pregnant and live on the top floor of a 4 floor walk up...walking into a freezing cold apartment is PURE HEAVEN after those stairs.

We got our bill on Friday and it wasn't that bad. A little higher than previous months, but only by $50.

My A/C has not been turned off in a few weeks. It is at 60 degrees when I am home. It is going to be bad but I am nine months pregnant so comfort is worth every penny

until you get the end of year bill to catch up
my balanced billing was 130ish this year and my recent bill is 360 to make up for the balanced bill shortfall

My balance billing this year was $130 and the last 2 months are $185. I just got my bill and I am ahead by $87 and have one more month to go before the new year starts.

Mine doubled from last month. This is our first summer in the house, and the first time ever having central a/c.
I'm glad DH opened this month's bill. He usually doesn't pay attention!

same here! Last month my bill was 235 I freaked out. this month I have been trying to keep the AC and Big Tv off but it's tough I'm home all day w/ 2 kids
Ok my bill is even worse this month and I've been so careful! It's 247 this month I want to cry

Ours was $400! Yikes, but we have CAC and I have been home all Summer on maternity leave so it's been on ALL DAY LONG, which is unusual since we're usually both at work all the time. Oh well, time to sign up for the balanced billing plan!

I got mine today - $409. In the 4 years we've lived here, it's NEVER been that high. Never even more than $200. But my in-law's live with us now and have the ac window unit on 24 hours a day and a 55" tv on all day long too - not to mention every other light in the house on. Plus, we've been running the ac ALOT in this heat.

we haven't turned off our two AC's for a month, last month it was $130 (est. KW) and this month its $360 (actual) i am pretty sure last month should of been around 175-200 its bad but not that horrible. I just wish we had the money to pay it IoI
