Another stomach bug question
Last night DS woke up around 11pm and threw up, again around 1:30am and once more (more like dry heaves) at 3:30am. When he woke up this morning, he seems perfectly fine. Eating and drinking normal, acting like his normal self...
What's your rule of thumb before you venture into the company of others? We had long weekend plans with friends starting today, but we said we wanted to wait at least 24 hours before making any decisions because we wanted to be safe. Is 24 hours still too early to decide?
ETA: he was totally normal before he went to bed also, showing no signs he would wake up sick. if anything, he was running around all over the place, more wound up than usual.

I would cancel probably. You and your DH have the germs too. You two might not get sick but can pass it on.

I would absolutely cancel. Stomach bugs are really contagious - that is why they spread so quickly and fast. The virus lives up to 3 days after you have symptoms.

I would honestly be annoyed with my friend if they brought their kid around mine so quickly after the stomach bug.

Thank you for the replies! It pretty much confirms my gut instinct as well... I would feel horrible if anyone else got sick. Just not worth it. Thank again
