Here's the thing - there's honestly no way to know if you will have a successful induction if you choose to go that route. Every woman is different, every pregnancy is different. So being 3CM dilated doesn't mean you'll have a successful induction OR that you won't.
Bottom line is you have to decide if you want to try to get baby out before your body does it on it's own. That's your own personal decision 
I don't have an option to be induced anymore because I had a prior c/s, but if I did, I would probably wait until there was a medical reason or I was past my due date and baby needed to come out.
My one friend had an induction at exactly 40 weeks and went completely natural. Great experience overall.
My other friend was induced about a week or 2 early and it took 3 days and was unsuccessful - she ended up with a csection.
You just never know.

Same..they told me DD was going to be a big baby (I was 9lbs 9oz) and she was only 7. I'd let nature take its course..you are almost there

Trust your body and your baby to work together NATURALLY. That's just my opinion. Growth sonos are estimates...try to get some rest and wait this out...your baby is coming!

I said yes- at 3" cm you dont need Cervadil which was OUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH...... pictocin I think just goes in an IV
when I was induced they thought ds was around 7lbs - and he was born 7lb 6oz
