Amnio today...***updated***
I am a little nervous about the procedure but trying to focus on being excited about seeing the little one again.
My appointment is at 11 so say a little  that all goes well.

Hey guys..
Thanks for all the well-wishes. Im home now and very sore and uncomfortable. I am hoping that is normal?!?! I really wasnt expecting pain, but it definitely is not fun.
Baby looked good, and they took a guess on the sex but the baby was moving around a lot and it was hard to get a good view. I also got a very "alien" pic of the little one that Ill post later.

Sending but I'm sure that all will be fine. Don't focus on the procedure. Just focus on the screen to see your li'l one. 
And remember to go home after and rest.

Sending you lots of good thoughts and prayers today. Getting an amnio is nerve wracking but the procedure really does not take long at all so before you know it, you will be on your way home.
Just remember: total rest for 3 days, NO lifting anything, any signs of spotting, amniotic fluid or cramping- call the doctor! Just treat yourself like a queen and do nothing. Veg on the couch with Fred and relax. No making meals or doing dishes. Only get up to get to/from bed, go to the bathroom and take a shower. I am sure all will be fine. Best of luck! Keep us updated!! Are you getting a FISH test?

good luck! i stayed on the couch for the day of procedure and day after. I went to work the 3rd day after amnio and wish i didnt, just because of cramping and would have liked to have rested another day. if u can, stay in bed for the whole 3 days. and be careful of your little fur baby. my biggest thing was making sure he didnt get his puppy energy out by jumping all over my uterus while trying to recover - - - - let us know how it goes, it really is a quite quick easy procedure.... r u gonna find out sex? what is the reason for your amnio?
