James - not sure what the judges were hearing in his first performance but DH & I didn't think it was as good as they were making it out to be.
His 2nd performance was better - but I hate that song. He will DEF be one of the finalist.
Haley - what a brat. She sounded terrible in her first performance. The judges were trying to give feedback and all she could do was stand there rolling her eyes and talking back.
I will give her the 2nd song - she hit it out of the ball park with that number. She can sing her asss off but watching her makes me want to 
Lauren - I have been a fan since day one. However, I definately don't know if she is ready for this. It is so obvious that she holds back. Especially after last week performance where she flubbed the biggest note of the song she performed. I feel like she did it again in her first performance...
Scotty - My favorite!!! I love love love him. I love his innocence, the way he sings, the obvious fact that he LOVES to perform. I liked his first song choice better than the 2nd. He will be the 2nd finalist IMO at the end.
James and Scotty at the end are my guesses...either could take it.
I agree with you on everything!!!!!!

I am so bored of Scotty- I want him to go home tonight.
Haley- usually not a huge fan but she's sort of grown on me. I hated her first performance, but I felt so bad when Randy was bad-mouthing her.
Lauren and James- awesome as usual.

I agree this is like an anti-Haley thread. She's AMAZING and it pis ses me off that the judges always go after her. She got upset up there but that was because they just kept repeating the same thing and well when the judges critic someone that is usually the person to go home! So I get why she would get upset. I thought both of her songs were great and she didn't deserve the critisicm they gave her.
Scotty sang that 9-11 song that I just can't stand- the guy who originally sang it capitalized off the horrible events of that day and made a ton of money. I thought he second song was cheesy. But I do like Scotty- he'll be sooo successul after this even if he doesn't win. I think he'll be in the finals.
I never liked James, he's so fake. He did good with the journey song but I'm just not a fan- ugh.
Lauren did good on the first, not so great the second.
It's going to be tough- I really hope Haley stays!!!

I don't think what Randy or JLo said to Haley on her first performance was bad. They critiqued as what judges should do. It's about time that they said something this time that wasn't positive. I feel that lately everyone gets good praises even if they did an okay job...not to hurt their feelings I don't know. Haley did not take the criticism well and was rolling her eyes. Why is she on a competitive show then????? Just my opinion.

i actually like haley's voice a lot..i didn't at first but in the last few weeks, it totally grew on me. the judges are hard on her but she's really unique.
i think scotty will have a country career no matter what... lauren too. and i think james will win the whole thing. i feel like hes been the frontrunner all along.

I think everyone is forgetting the judges are there to JUDGE! They haven't been doing much of it so far but I was glad when they gave their opinion. Who knows if Haley would have done so well on her second song without that criticism, I highly doubt it.
Yes, she can sing well but her attitude makes her obnoxious. I don't get what is so surprising about people being turned off by her.

I missed the boys duet but the girls sang "Gunpowder and lead" by Miranda Lambert probably the best female country artist right now.
